It's a World Heritage Site...Village dates from 1786...It was a cotton mill workers village,nowadays ,tourist attraction.People do live in the houses....but must adhere to the rules,of keeping the history alive,So no changes to the facade...They look as they were in 1786....Some of them inside to,for the benefit of tourists.
