Where is this quilt ABC? Is it always outside? It appears that people made their own quilts at home and then sent it to a group of people who sewed them all together. What an amazing project...

Hi Monte,
This is on the steps outside Helsinki's cathedral, Finland. It took place in October 1st 2011. The quilts are not sewed together, just attached to each other, not to blow away. There were 8000 quilts. All single pieces are crocheted. This was a charity project that started in Spring 2011 by a Swedish spoken organization in Helsinki. People in all ages participated and has continued to crochet clothes now. The organization is now thinking and planning their next project where to donate. The good thing is this will past on the crochet tradition across the generations.
