Not just in La Zenia about all around that area sadly. La Zenia is nice to look at in the sun but once the rain comes it can be very different.

When I go out into town I never take my wallet with me, just
enough cash for a few drinks. A friend of mine was mugged
on his way into town last xmas not far from his house.
He was really shook up by it, he hasn't walked into town since.
I think its worse when it happens 'on your own patch' somewhere you'd normally feel safe, I think that's what got to him the most.
RDM59: I go through these type of senarios in my mind also, I would do this and that and this to the swine, just like the movies. I just hope my metal is never put to that test. But I would reckon the wisest self preservation technique would be to hand over the cash !

That is good advice, I sometimes do that but when going out of my area but you are right it could happen anywhere of course.

The courses in Spain are generally excellent
