Hi Pat...Ive only been in Waxys once..actually with a boring guy from Limerick...but thats another story for another time anyway it was a few years ago but it seemed okay....I think some of us should check it out on a saturday night before we confirm just to check out the clientele lol...oh and I think they serve food until 9pm so anyone who is hungry will be able to order without having to leave deposits/order in advance etc.....

Any SATURDAY lol I have not been there for a couple of years but I do know we can take a bar and make it ours, the food for those that want it is reasonable....I reckon 8pm start and we will have fun.

But will it be very busy or will there be room for us so swing our kilts Pat. The tourists might be expecting some sort of Highland Fling demonstration,
or similar .....

Uisce beatha (Irish pronunciation: [ishca baha]) is the name for whiskey in the Irish language.
The word "whiskey" itself is simply an anglicized version of this phrase, stemming from a mispronunciation of the word uisce. This may in turn have influenced the Modern Irish word fuisce ("whiskey"). The phrase uisce beatha, literally "water of life", was the name given by Irish monks of the early Middle Ages to distilled alcohol. It is simply a translation of the Latin aqua vitae.
