- The Sherkin Island is a beautiful place to relax and chill out. For the more active and adventurous, there’s a rib ride around the island on the Sunday morning. Join the Group and get acquainted.. for an evening or the weekend.

skinnyminnypink: Was chatting with a few yesterday evening and a suggestion for a weekend away has come up ... bank holiday to suit those with commitments ... either May, June or August?? The Islander's Rest on Sherkin Island have a good deal .. spoke to the guy .. and if enough numbers, would fine tune his rates again .. need to gauge interest before asking CS to put up a sign up thread ... could we have choices on which weekend and indications of any interest???
how many days would we be talking cause id like to go but with work getting bank holidays off can be a bit tough

the guy is quoting for 2 nights B&B, with one evening meal and a rib ride around the island ... think it could be a Saturday and a Sunday??
skinnyminnypink: August might be a bit busy and more expensive, June would be in the high season, May in the lower ... if peeps could give definite choices for a weekend ... lets say a Saturday and a Sunday .. ferry to the island is from Baltimore ...

Just realised you said 2 nts B and B .... not sure can do that long away - would a one nighter be an option? I could just stay Sat night perhaps ...

WHEN: May Bank holiday weekend.. Saturday, April 30 to Sunday May 1
Two nights or one.. you choose. Come for one evening or stay the weekend if you can
WHERE: The Islander’s Rest, Sherkin Island, West Cork
WHAT: The wind in your eyes and the spray in your hair, cobwebs all gone and stuff and stuff... one time in band camp.... Come alone or bring a friend, all welcome and we’re going to have such fun ....
Your cost will depend on whether you come for the weekend or just for night.
The island is a beautiful place to relax and chill out. For the more active and adventurous, there’s a rib ride around the island on the Sunday morning... any other plans are up to you.
Price quoted by venue for one night B&B, including dinner on the Saturday night is 70.00 euros... for two night's B&B, including dinner and the rib ride is 125.00 euros. They will confirm to me if the single night rate includes the rib ride, which would probably happen on the Sunday, dependant on weather.
Ferry to the Island is from Baltimore
