Uno,normally a single room costs just as much as a double , because hotels in general dont have single rooms, you might get the odd exception in small hotels , Hostels , tavern type places have single rooms. Unfortunately ireland does not cater very well for someone travelling around the country on their own, on the continent and further abroad there are great options, its a pity really..

Ye I just looked up a few hotels that have single rooms and their prices varies greatly to a twin room for one night
Theoneucanthate: Its called using your brain :) what would be cheaper? As I said there is afloor there and after a night on the piss u wouldn't be fussy lol
Happy to anounce, I may have a transport soultion close to hand... Presently, i have more reasonable Taxi fares in the pipeline on the backend of one of Annies posts earlier... Ill be talking to a cab company on monday to try and get a concessionary rate for CS party-goers... I will of course keep you all advised of developments... Great to see the sign-ups so far, thanks for getting behind the meet... BUT....We need more MEN!... C'mon guys, what are you waiting for, there are some fabulous women signed up to attend, whats keeping you from putting your names down?...
Ok so, ill just post this up in case its of help to yee all!...
I had problems booking the Ennis road Travelodge and due to a technical error, probably on their website, have ended up booking 5 rooms and paying for them in advance as well, so now I have to wait to see if head office will refund me for 4 of the rooms but head office doesn't open until tomorrow morning.

Is anyone else staying in Travelodge???
Hiya LB...
Though i know i put up the web link on my original post and sign-up, there is a direct line call number for the Ennis Rd Travelodge... I hope the CS mods are OK with me putting this up, its not blatant advertising after all...
To those attending the August meet in Bunratty, you may chose to contact directly Lorraine on 061-457000, extention 2, she is i believe the manageress, and will be able to attend to your booking needs...
Now, Lady B, as i have it, your OK with those booked rooms, they will only draw from your credit card a day or two in advance of the actual booking date as i was told when i spoke to (melissa) a member of staff 2 weeks ago...I would advise though that you deal direct with Lorraine and get your booking done with a voice on the end of the phone...Very last centuary i know, but its safe and secure that way...

I stay in the Travel Lodge a good bit, full payment is taken on day of booking. It's not like the old system where you booked and payment came out a day or so before hand or on the day of arrival. Just a heads up for anyone booking

I spoke to Lorraine on the phone today and she is going to try and sort it out for me and phone me back tomorrow. I took the prepaid option which is cheaper which is where I am having trouble. However, she did say there was some problems with the website so I would agree you should get hold of her directly to book if you can. She's very nice to talk to.

Hi Annie...
Thanks for the information...
Here, you could'nt make it up, I went looking for cab deals yesterday and bumped into your contact for the taxi fare info... We shall mention no names, but the pleasure was mine... And with good fortune he will be joining us on the night... So, it just keeps getting better...
