Would you open your home to a fellow CS member who wanted to visit your country or state - and allow them to stay with you - especially if the the favor would be returned?

Well - I think I would also - given the time to get to know people better - seems like a good idea to me. Would give people a chance to meet in person and maybe make visiting new areas more affordable too.

Its a possibility but if it is their first time meeting, the person doing the traveling had better have a back up plan, because neither party know what might happen. I definitely wouldn't give them my home address we would have to meet in public and still even if everything goes well the person doing the traveling should stay at a hotel the first night.............. for many reasons

Hello tonight!

Hello to you also - I just think it would be a neat idea - and sure make it affordable - strictly platonic of course - and males and females alike.

Well, I am new, but some of you have been on here for months and/or years - I'm sure you have decided who you would most likely open your home to.

Seems people do home exchanges all the time - and what could be nicer than to travel somewhere - if you're like me - probably alone - and have a friendly face to greet you and guide you. Of course you would contribute some expenses, such as food - but wouldn't it be nice to visit some place new without the added expense and uncertainty of accomodations as long as it would be reciprocated?

I don't think any of us know for sure, just a probably, cause this is a computer, you don't really truely know if the person you are looking at is actually them.... Just being honest. but I'd say at least 90% of the people are who you see. I do beleive it would be a neat Idea, but If you just signed up, it seems a little odd to put that question out there so quickly, when you don't have a pic. for people to feel more comfortable cause obviously anyone can throw a fake pic. up and I do understand if your just not sure about the site yet, but if that were the case then the thread seems odd. sorry if you feel I jumping down your throat hun, my brain just thinks to much(or some people may say thinks to little) who knowshandshake

They actually have travel websites for that...a network of people who host and are being hosted all over the world!

OH I agree Tater - I'm new - wouldn't presume to know anyone like that yet - but seems some folks here are quite friendly with each other. And would enjoy the opportunity to visit somewher they might not otherwise afford to.
