Now some will be 'majestic, some regal, some that are bizarre, even some that just can't be explained! (London, England) Now Ferris Wheel could describe this magnificent structure, but it's so much more than that! It stands tall over the south end of the mighty Thames River, and is one of the most popular if not 'The' most popular attraction in London! Made even more so since the 2012 Olympic Games were recently held there.

(Agra India) The Emperor Shah Jahan built this White Marble Mausoleum for his third wife. World admired and considered the 'Jewel of Muslim Art!' A remarkable structure from afar, but even more spectacular up close!

(Salisbury, UK) Exactly 'what' is it? Is it a worship site, a center for healing, a calendar of sorts, or a gravesite? Well what ever it may be, it does own this attribute, that being a 'mystery' that impresses all that view it! Amazingly huge stones moved by humans in ancient times...why and how, therein lay the real enigma of the ages.

(London, England) Former site of imprisonment and execution of those that disobeyed the kings has now been transformed into a 'regal' museum. This majestic site now has the 'honored' privilege of housing 'The Crown Jewels!' A magnificent historic structure.

(Pisa, Italy) Best known for its 'one-sided' tilt this tower has been seen in countless cartoons, movies, and commercials. The 'tilt/lean' of the tower was caused by an inadequate foundation.

'Skywalk' of The Grand Canyon

'Skywalk' of The Grand Canyon
(Arizona USA) This cantilever bridge juts out over the canyon by some 70 feet and over 4,000 feet above the Grand Canyon Floor making it the 'highest' man-made structure in the world! If being out in the 'open' air that high up isn't enough, the bridge floor is made of extremely thick glass allowing viewers to see all the way to the bottom of the canyon! Wow, waking this structure is nothing more than 'heavenly!'

(Giza, Egypt) The biggest most well-known cat in the world! This structure served as both tomb and temple to the pharaoh Khafara. These majestic structures how ever they were built and for whom ever they were built still at that time were very special. Thankfully they have stood the test of time so that we can marvel at the massive achievements of the ancient 'Master Builders!'

(Giza, Egypt) Once more we can see the works of master builders from ancient days. The enormous Pyramids are somewhat like the Taj Mahal in that viewing them from afar you get the feeling of greatness. However when you're up close there is this 'overwhelming' sense of being somehow 'humbled' by he sheer size of these massive structures!

(San Francisco, USA) 8,981 Feet is an impressive measurement! For many years the Golden Gate Bridge held the record for being the 'longest' suspension bridge in the world. That record now shattered by several bridges. We can't deny one ever present truth...the Golden Gate Bridge is without a doubt one of the most beautifully spectacular sites in the world! To fly into San Francisco and see the bridge spanning the Bay is a gorgeous thin to see.

(Paris France) Hard to believe this amazing structure was built way back in the year 1887. Not so hard to believe is that it stood as the tallest structure until 1930! The Eiffel Tower, the dream of Gustave Eiffel who's company actually designed and built it. Still standing 'tall and proud' it has become an iconic symbol in the 'City of Lights!'

(Sydney,Australia) This is gorgeous structure is even visible from space! A beautiful 'mix & match' of angles and curves much resembling Sea Shells, a stunning site from the river, bridge, and especially flying over while on Quantas Airlines! While outside beauty is wonderful, that is not what makes for an acoustic correct venue. In-as-much-as this structure was to be used on multi-performance levels every aspect of theatrical supremacy had to be achieved. End result...a 'World-Class' Performing Arts Center!

The 'Walt Disney Concert Hall'

The 'Walt Disney Concert Hall'
(Los Angeles, USA) Much like the Opera House in Sydney, the Disney Concert Hall is very distinctive in it's style and 'striking' appearance! The fact that the entire structure is 'covered' in metal skin! The design is to resemble that of 'Flying Sheets of Music' making this structure a true 'show stopper' here in L.A. and the world! The acoustic system is 'second' to none, indeed one of the most environmentally, tech-savvy structures ever built!

So many gorgeous sites to see in this world of ours. I sure hope you've enjoyed this trip in search of some of the most amazing and interesting structures ever designed and built! I know that I've missed some, and you're more than welcome to let me know and I'll be glad to get them on in the next installment. Well I guess I'd better go pack for the next excursion! thanks the trip ray, always wanted to go to see the grand canyon. didnt even hear of the skywalk b4. thanks for educating me again. love take a walk on that. carnt really complain about this list. he he. not like me.lol. but wheres your statue of liberty? given to you by the french for kicking our britsh butts. lol. nice one ray.cool
