TV Science Fiction Top 10

As with most lists it is tough to narrow down the list ... and inevitably someone says '... but what about <blank>?' and you think, yes, maybe it should have been there.
1

Dr Who

Dr Who
This has got to be on my list ... for endurance if nothing else. The later series ... post 2005 are so much better stories, acting and special effects.
2

Star Trek

This series in all its incarnations have been captivating.
3

A for Andromeda

A for Andromeda
Both the 1961 and 2006 versions, and also the Andromeda Breakthrough of 1962. I was led to believe the Andromeda Breakthrough was going to follow the 2006 A for Andromeda, but still waiting for that.
4

Battlestar Galactica

Battlestar Galactica
I must say I preferred the remake of the series over the original. I also enjoyed Caprica and feel it was a shame that the plug was pulled too early on it.
5

Torchwood

Torchwood
Great story-lines and good casting made this a 'must have' for the list
6

Stargate

Stargate and its spin-off SG Atlantis (not 'Universe' though ... just didn't grab me)
7

Sarah Connor Chronicles

Sarah Connor Chronicles
This fitted in quite well to the Terminator universe apart from some of the dates which had already been superceded)
8

X Files

X-Files and Fringe share my number 8 spot.
9

Quatermass Conclusion

Quatermass Conclusion
Great acting from John Mills, as the aging Quatermass, and a great story line.
10

Time Tunnel

Time Tunnel
This one just snuck into the top 10 amongst some stiff competition. This is one which could be remade and still make an impact ... modern man interacting with historical events.

I would be interested to hear what your choices would have been.
