I am passionate about animals and rescuing those in need. If you're the type of man who can hit a rabbit in the road without going back to see if you can help it, don't bother with me. I pick up all strays (ONLY animals!) and there's always room for one more in need.
I'm also passionate about the environment (recycle and re-use). I'm not into drugs, drinking, smoking or "physical fitness overdoses!" I have recently taken up running to stay in shape but I'm not at the gym 24/7 nor am I afraid to eat a doughnut!
I love to learn and try new things (scuba, hang gliding, etc) and am at ease in my own skin - I love solitude and downtime. Although I have a B.A. I continue to go to school part-time because I enjoy learning.
I also have big plans for building my dream home completely off the grid. No, I'm not the type who buries guns and food in a bunker in the middle of nowhere, but I DO prefer to live as remotely as possible and could easily go without human contact for weeks or months at a time, if society (and a job) permitted!

Is there an ideal? Physical preferences would be someone who is tall and not overweight and, of course, I must be physically attracted to him for the chemistry to be right. But my "ideals" of physical attractiveness are quite open - however, I'm not interested if you are fat or lazy. Someone who enjoys animals (no hunters or fishermen) and nature is a plus. If you're intelligent, well educated, can read more than the funny papers and hold your own in a conversation while still being funny, then we'll probably get along!
I've met my share of macho men who think of women as second class citizens and speak derogatorily. If this describes you, you'll have to look elsewhere.
