I am a charming, smart and witty woman who has faith that life is only getting better.
It has been a rough few years, but I have learned a lot about myself and what I want out of life.
I like being with people who see the humor in things and work to find a positive spin on what is difficult. I am not, however, a Pollyanna, and enjoy venting and using sarcastic humor with my friends.
I am a bit of an intellectual, and an incessant reader of classics, nonfiction, and the like. I consider myself to be a global citizen. I deal with people from all over the world on a daily basis. i worked hard to obtain a strong education, and I never stop learning. I don't like dealing with people who keep their agenda close to the vest. I'm pretty much an open book. I'm not 18, and don't have another 30 years to make the wrong decisions about companionship. It helps when people meet with clear motives so they are both on the same page. Less drama results!
In addition to personal growth, I am in the middle of self-improvement. I put few extra pounds because it makes the most sense. I loathe the term "BBW" ...just because women are "big" it doesn't mean they are necessarily beautiful people. Much of beauty shines from within. I spent the last several years dealing with life/health issues that challenged me in a few ways. I am enjoying loving myself more and treating my body better. I keep myself nicely and am considered attractive, and not just by my mom. :) As we get older, it's also important to embrace that there is no time like the present!
I have gone mostly vegetarian and am getting much more activity -- I'm totally into yoga. I am trying to walk a mile a day.
I adore animals and kids, although I don't have any kids. If you do, that's great. I don't carry baggage that would bother someone else. We all carry baggage; what we have experienced is in our hard drive. We can't help it, but we can help not focusing on it or letting it interfere with our progress.

So what am I looking for?
Being there for someone, and having someone there for me. A sweet, funny voice at the other end of the phone. A smile that springs from the soul. Someone to drop a text with over the day with a nice hello, a frustrated vent or just a snippet of the day. Someone I can treat with respect who treats me the same. I respect integrity and purpose. Although I can be considered intellectual and serious, I enjoy random acts of kindness and mischievousness. You might just find canned pigs feet in your cart if we were to go shopping.
No bigots, racists or hatemongers. Take pride in yourself. Be curious about others and the world. Recognize that for the most part, our words are our bonds.
I bring a lot of joy to the lives of others and know someone out there deserves someone who is happy, loving, loyal and complete. I am a great cook, too, and I'll even cook things I don't like if it makes someone else happy.
Again, I am not perfect, but I am aware of my good points. I know my dreams will be coming true this decade. Will yours?
