Cooking is something I really enjoy doing, and hosting company is one of my favourite ways to share that passion. I can bake better than most (my parents owned a scratch bakery for quite a while) and if I like you, cookies will likely be coming your way ;)
I love to learn, and books are a weakness. If I go on a spending spree, you will find me in a bookstore... if I didn’t have to sleep, I would use the extra time to read LOL. The best stories can be found in the most unlikely places sometimes... I also have a love-hate relationship with the elliptical and prefer to fit in my exercise outdoors when possible.
A few of my favourite things:
- smell of lilacs on the warm breath of spring
- tart juiciness of fresh picked peaches
- first cool autumn breeze & the crisp crunch of leaves underfoot
- smell of the first snow (yes, you can smell it coming…)
I love being outdoors for these things, and a day at the beach, hiking, roasting marshmallows over a campfire, or building a snow man simply cannot be beat.
Voracious interest in politics and world affairs. The state of the world and debating intellectual ideas excite me. I’m an agnostic leaning atheist, a feminist, and I find Trump repugnant. We don’t have to agree about everything, but if you take major issue with that list, do us both a favour and skip me over.
I've returned to Hamilton after being away for more than 20 years. I’m now a single mom of two terrific boys who I have full time – no ex, no drama. Currently finishing my final semester of university, and returning to a career in finance. One of my favourite jobs of all time was as a professional researcher – I’ve learned if it’s out there, I will find it LOL
