More About Me
I took a few years off of my profile so I wouldn't be automatically excluded by an algorithm. I play tennis and ride a bicycle and generally stay fit. I'm also apprehensive about putting to much personal information on social sites.
I'd like to spend my life closer to nature; someplace rural yet within an hour or so drive to a metropolitan area for medical, dental, and access to an airport. A small town close by for groceries and a cafe would be nice too. Mayberry! I'm weary of the continuous expansion and population density of the suburban life I live in Orange County, California. Don't get me wrong. Orange County is a great place with many advantages. Driving along Pacific Coast Highway at dawn is beautiful. The weather here is perfect. There are lots of jobs. But it's crowded and housing is expensive. I'd like a slower lifestyle. I'd like to see more wildlife and natural habitat and fewer people. I also find myself becoming more environmentally conscious. I want to see more birds and trees. Living in a rural area with four seasons is appealing. I'd might like to get a dog. And maybe travel in a motor home.
More About my Match
I am recently separated and recently retired. I am renting an apartment in Newport Beach as I await the settlement of my divorce. Once settled and the house is sold I'd like to find a place that satisfies my desire for country living. I've thought about Northern California, or Oregon along the coast, or Texas near Mexico, or North or South Carolina in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or even Tennessee. A house on an acre or two would be ideal. Ten acres would be even better; fewer neighbors close by. I'd like to find someone that will last. Someone who isn't bossy; who accepts a man for who he is. Someone who might like rural living and is willing to give it a try. Someone who likes the outdoors and animals. Someone who is understanding and accepting.
Religion
I don't go to church and have neglected my spirituality over the years. Recently, I have made a concious effort to reconnect with a power greater than myself. It's a work in progress.
