I moved to the South of Spain a year ago in order to improve my Spanish and I travel to countries others would avoid; I, therefore, consider myself quite brave. Without wishing to sound like a Miss World contestant, I have enjoyed many voluntary roles; the plight of the homeless in particular touches my heart as well as all those less fortunate than myself. I'm a health conscious vegetarian who loves to cook. I abhor racism or any type of prejudice. Any form of waste makes me sad, from talents and time to food and resources. My friends tell me that I'm witty and I don't believe sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. I believe that my greatest skill is the ability to truly hear, and not just listen. I was a Mediator before I retired; many friends turn to me to talk through their issues. I try to help them solve their own dilemmas rather than giving them advice. I'm interested in others and ask lots of questions. I'm not good on a slippery surface and a lack of proof reading annoys me; other than that I'm perfect! I can turn my hand to most things and am a natural home maker. I've got the body of a younger woman; I must remember to give it back at some stage.
