I'm an older plus-sized transgendered female. I completed my transition in my mid-twenties. I have been living and working as a woman in the corporate world and now enjoying my early retirement years. Life for me is surprisingly fulfilling, tranquil and peaceful. I'm surrounded by great neighbors, genuine friends and a loving family and live in a nice quiet community. I had been in a long relationship but that ended some time ago. Recently, I've opened myself to the possibility of adding one more wish to my list and that would be to find someone to be with once again. My friends and family think its a mistake, since my life couldn't be more idyllic now?! I'd like to think otherwise.
I put myself through college, made several career choices from the medical field to a technical trade, then later settled into the corporate world. I had my share of ups and downs. I don't have a chip on my shoulder, emotional baggage, anger management issues, feel privileged or have unreasonable expectations. It did help that the nature of my past had never had occasion to arise or needed to be revealed. It meant however, that I did have to start from the ground up and re-invent myself. I had to prove my capabilities on every step of the corporate ladder to earn the respect of my fellow co-workers and bosses.
I'm a very easy going, down to earth woman who loves to laugh, enjoy a good time and I say what I mean and mean what I say. I'm honest, don't like to criticize or be demeaning, won't offer my opinion unless I'm asked, but I'm not afraid to make tough decisions or take control of situations if I have to. I also won't ask you to give up your friendships just don't ask me to give up mine.
