More About Me
I am a life-long learner via experiences within and outside of myself. Endlessly curious about the inner and outer worlds, I like using my head and heart to probe various aspects of reality to improve my life and the lives of others.
In fact, most of my professional life has been devoted to helping others reach beyond any limited conceptions of who they are and who they can be. This focus has been apparent in my first career as an assistant professor of literature and writing for 17 years in various universities and colleges in Maryland and Massachusetts. My focus on developing human potential has characterized also my former, overlapping role as a traditional therapist for 20 years and deeply informs my current work as an executive coach and organization trainer.
But the greatest expression of my wish to help others and myself grow is my other current work, that of a clinical hypnotherapist specializing in spiritual hypnotherapy. My sense of how multi-dimensional we all are has expanded exponentially since I started ten years ago facilitating past-life regressions and other spiritual journeys. I have been repeatedly blown away and humbled by the operation of Spirit in the lives of those with whom I have had the honor to journey.
I am a compassionate man who can fairly easily access even his deepest feelings and is able to communicate them well to others. One of my life-long goals is to find more and more ways to open my heart and keep it open, even in the most trying of circumstances. My friends (and clients) tell me that I am, indeed, generous of heart, able to listen actively and attentively, and to “tune in” to their needs and desires.
More About my Match
What I am looking for is a woman who aspires to grow continually--intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually—who can journey with me to inner worlds to develop more intimacy and to use what we discover to help others improve their lives. And I would like her to enjoy also the outer world with me, especially Nature, specifically near water—rivers, ponds, bays and oceans. I love being on the water—I have had four motorboats over the years and now deeply enjoy my kayak, especially when accompanied by a friend’s little dog. What I most regret recently is that. because of a move to another location, I had to give up my Hobie kayak sailboat, a double-seated craft with huge pontoons! When I get another, newer version of this boat, I would love to share both the excitement and peace of it with someone special and who loves the water as I do. And when we travel by land, I would love to renew my interest in using my touring bike.
I also enjoy going to movies and the theater, sitting by a living-room fire reading and being affectionate with someone who is uninhibited emotionally and communicates her feelings and needs directly, having coffee or tea in a cozy places, visiting new places here and abroad, cooking up one of my creations for a bunch of friends, chuckling and laughing heartily with my love, and just hanging out with someone I feel close to and deeply respect and who feels the same way about me.
I want to be with someone who really “gets” me, who keeps me on her radar screen, just as I “get” her and tune into her. I want to be with someone who shows up with all of herself, who is grounded in her sense of herself and is continually present when engaged with me.
