More About Me

This is the hard part of creating a profile that is hoped might lead to a lasting connection. I mean, really...what can one say that won't sound like shameless self promotion, yet still gives an honest picture of who we are and might attract the right kind of woman?

I'm a random abstract kind of guy with a touch of pragmatic idealist. There's a romantic hidden deep inside; I cherish beauty in so many of its forms natural and created. I can make the hard decisions when the need arises, but have a sentimental side as well. I love to learn...and since I can talk to random people in an elevator, often walk away having listened to a glimpse of another's life and indeed learned something from that encounter. I think if we are 'here for a reason', it has nothing to do with how much stuff we can buy before we die...rather it has to do with how we can learn, what we do to help others, and how much of ourselves we give. It seems to me that we gain far more that way, and live a more fulfilling life. If we search for love in others, have we found enough of it within ourselves to first share with somebody else? It's sort of like 'priming a pump' before it brings the water we need.

More About my Match

She's out there someplace. Healthy, slim to athletic, honest, natural. Young in spirit, inquisitive, active, affectionate, selective, Maybe a bit of an earth mother, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty in a garden, or dig in to a renovation project and do the actual work involved. She can be a knock-out when she wants to dress up. The extent of her 'indulgent' side is more related to savouring natural gifts and joys than buying bling because she knows her beauty doesn't need artificial embellishments. She has lots of intelligence, yet might be doing almost any kind of job, have almost any level of formal education. It's what's inside that counts most.

It doesn't matter what colour we are on the outside...we're all the same inside.

A degree is not a sign of much other than our work ethic. It's what we do with what we learn that counts, no matter where we learn it.

I'm open minded about what other people choose to believe; the main thing is to have a set of positive ethics and to live by them.

I manage my own live-in rental property as well as doing similar functions for a small, select group of others. That includes every task from marketing and rentals to renovations, repairs, painting,
