The year was 1984 and the severity of the winter almost seemed to mirror the way in which I was belatedly and unceremoniously brought into being. My (de?)formative years were mostly spent in the dales of Derbyshire, land of the sixth toe, where the men are men and the sheep are nervous. This harsh existence forged me into the maladjusted creature you see before you today. It wasn't until my mid 20's that the outside world, with its talk of 'kompooters', vol au vents and something called 'the tinternet' drew me out from the humble homestead of my beginnings. Nowadays I wander nomadically from place to place performing degrading acts and exhibiting myself publicly in the hope of raising enough silver pieces to get me home and perhaps buy a new pinafore for mother. Oh how she suffers while I'm away....
