wiarton willie & groundhog day

feb 2nd is groundhog day in canada and the united states. willie is the best known groundhog in canada. his fame comes from his "ability" to predict when spring will arrive. furry spring predictors are springing up (pun intended) all across north america. most are groundhogs. the tradition was imported from germany, where hedgehogs were used. happy groundhog day, everyone! PREDICTION FOR 2023: Willie didn't see his shadow so, we will have an early spring (at least in Ontario Canada)! Can't come soon enough as we're currently in a deep freeze with wind chill making the temperature feel like more than -30c!!!!
