Three Women You Don’t Want to Date: The Damsel in Distress, The Princess, and Your Mother

Three Women You Dont Want to Date The Damsel in Distress The Princess and Your Mother

We've all seen it at least a dozen times. We go to a social gathering and meet a successful and sincere man. He seems to really have it together. He holds an intelligent conversation, is kind and generous to everyone, and is just an all around friendly type of guy. Then we meet his partner. She is one of the following: whiny, spoiled, or controlling. We are completely dumbfounded. It just doesn't make any sense. Here are three of the women some men date and what follows when they do.

The Damsel in Distress

The Damsel in Distress is the woman whose life is riddled with troubles. She has one problem after another. And then yet another. Her car breaks down, her bank account is overdrawn, she has a disagreement with a friend, a family member, or a co-worker. The list goes on and on. As soon as you help her solve one tragedy and everything is resolved...alas, another problem pops up. It can feel wonderful to be needed at first and to play the role of a savior but the problem is The Damsel in Distress needs you to fulfill her every need, including the ones she is perfectly capable of handling herself. She appears to be incapable of making any decision or handling any kind of problem. Men, make no mistake about this: the Damsel in Distress is competent and completely capable of solving her own problems. What is occurring here is she is attempting to fulfill an unmet childhood need. Somewhere along the way she mistakenly took being rescued as an indicator of being loved. But men, keep this important fact in mind: while you are rescuing your Damsel in Distress from the train tracks of life, even your solid shield of shining armor is not going to save you when that train comes barreling down the tracks.

The Princess

The Princess is so pretty, isn't she? She can be a hard one to resist. The Princess is all about pretty things. The problem is as soon as she gets one pretty item, she then wants another and another. She wants new shoes, clothes, handbags, and jewelry. The next thing you know you are buying her a car and then even a house. She expects to be spoiled but doesn't feel it is necessary to return the favor. Somewhere along the way The Princess missed a pertinent message: A sale only brings a temporary feeling of euphoria. This euphoria is not in any way a substitute for true love. The Princess will drain your pocketbook, and shortly thereafter she will drain your life too. Be careful here guys...because when you unwrap this pretty little package and see what's inside, this is one gift you are going to want to return straight back to sender.

Your Mother

The woman known as Your Mother is a woman that bears a striking resemblance, well, to your actual mother. Unlike The Damsel in Distress and The Princess, Your Mother is usually quite competent. Unfortunately, she is just a little too competent. In addition to running her own life and the lives of all of those around her, she will run your life too. She will tell you where, when, and how you can play, what kind of clothes to wear, what to eat, and even how to spend your well earned money. She will also take control of anything else that suits her fancy. Her list of do's and don'ts will go on and on and on and on. As will her droning. She will never be happy with anything you do. As a matter of fact, she doesn't even appear to be happy with who you are. When you attempt to change your unacceptable character defects, she still won't be satisfied and will find yet even more to complain about. The woman known as Your Mother feels as though she has very little control within herself. She is attempting to gain some semblance of control by seeking control through you and others. However, this will never work because true control begins within. If only she realized it is herself she needs to change, you both could be so much happier. But... it simply isn't going to happen. Do you really need another mom? Perhaps you could just pick up the phone and call your mom. Be careful here guys, because when you pick Your Mother you are going to get spanked and this is one spanking you are definitely not going to enjoy.

Here's the deal men: Dating a Damsel in Distress, a Princess, or the woman known as Your Mother is a sure recipe for disaster. It is improbable, if not impossible that you will be able to make any of these women happy. The next time you are tempted to date a Damsel in Distress, a Princess, or Your Mother run hard and run fast. Run as though you are running for your life. Because, the reality is, you are.

OK Then what of girl should you date. What is her name.

I agree with the above type of women also.

Thanks for your input. I agree, avoid those three kinds of women.

Well said. I have learned this lesson myself from men. You have to be a well balanced person for a man these days and make those changes yourself for yourself because how do you expect to have a man love you for you if you don;t love yourself first. i was never a princess type but i was a damsel in distres until i realized it and made the changes i needed and now i am perfectly happy with myself as i am not one anymore nor am i a mother type even though i am a mom to my kids. Ladies don;t be offended by this advice but do try to accept that yu may need to change yourself in order to have that thing you covet most in life a happy life with that special man. it is not a big thing and don't think of it as such just do it and you will be amazed at the changes in your life that will happen when u do.
