Define love! Generally speaking we can love everyone at the same time, family, friends, partners, our dog.......... the list is endless.

I can & do love many people... all at the same time.

Though, if you are speaking in terms of the 'partner type of love'... well, all I can honestly say to that is... it's subjective, per person, of course.

No. You can like two people at the same time, even lust for two people at the same time, but love is something so completely different..

I concur...I experienced that. It's a long complicated story involving a girlfriend and an ex. No cheating was involved. Just some very powerful and frustrating emotions. Love is so weird.

absolutly not!.....Real Love is an emotion that occurs when your "Everything" is focused on someone and the fact that they return your love is when LOVE occurs...one sided love to me is infatuation....

...besides if the person you "love" expects you to ONLY love them and not someone else...think about it,...you want someone that you love also loving someone else... LOVE IS SELFISH

wave Yes, Ginger, I agree with Ambrose, the OP is referring to romantic love.

I don't think you can love more than one person at the same time. Perhaps be 'in love' or lust, but not love. If you love someone, you never want to hurt them. It hurts if the one who is supposed to love you thinks they love someone else, thus he/she is not being loving toward you. People who ask this question want to have their cake and eat it too. They are not really loving either person in a deep and abidding way--they are just loving themselves because it is selfish.

Agree. Even the love is selfish part, probably politically incorrect but true. thumbs up

Here Here here's to you

I agree we can love lots, but I think the real question is can you be "in" love with two people at once? I don't think so but to each their own.
