One of the coolest things I remember from school was during a Philosophy class and the professer said
....wouldn't it be awesome if the worlds scholars, artists and poets could all come together and pool their knowledge to one end,. devoid of monetary gain or notoriety, just to benifit mankind.
Imagine if all the worlds miliary budgets were pooled together and the money used for cancer research.
