It is horrible and hard for you at the moment - focus on what is yours ie your daughter. You shouldn't have to think about what your ex feels about his new baby - only what he does for your daughter and your little girl's relationship with the new baby - after all they are siblings. You say that he didnt want your daughter - was that at pregnancy stage or ever since she was born?
I think the human condition be it arrogance of our place in nature dictates that we believe that death cannot be the end. That our "essence" must continue in some form. The notion of a "God" is something thats convenient in that we know that we can't create life or nature , something else must have and so that higher being must be omniscient because that's all that's above us in the chain...
