Peppa, I have often travelled on my own, it just depends where you choose to go. I found for example, that in Italy while its fine, the evenings are a bit of a problem as seeing a woman on her own, the guys seem to think i am there to be picked up.In Paris, all was okay but its a romantic city and a bit depressing in the evenings, with today's current situation, I wouldn't recommend it though. I found it enjoyable both day and night in Athens, and also in Amsterdam.
I have on occasion also joined Solo's - its a bit more expensive, but guarantees you company should you want it, especially in the evening.
Personally, I am aiming to check out 'tours' and see what gives, I was told that i do not need to join wherever they go during the day, as they tend to be quite hectic.
The only problem, as I see it is that as us singles we are charged more which i think is unfair, but there you go, hope this helps. xx
