wow, vitriol levels in here are rather high. I guess I'll just add to it, shall I? Don't people realize that California's prisons are so full that we are housing people (Most of them drug offenders, which is another fun topic that I shall refrain from mentioning) in the rec areas and cafeterias of prisons. We can't exactly keep our mexicans in there if we plan on arresting those damned potheads, now, can we?
I personally feel that we aught to deport all the illegal immigrants starting with you folks what came here from Europe back when my ancestors were happily hunting Buffaloes and picking berries, but that's rather unrealistic. We have a huge border. Thinking that we can adequetely police it while facing a recession and fighting two wars with an already overtaxed military is ludicrous. There just isn't enough money. Hell, even during those huge protest rallies a year or two back we couldn't even afford deport all the illegals in the streets protesting their illegal status and we didn't even have to pay folks to go look for the illegals! They were right there, protesting! The dude with the placard reading 'illegal and proud' couldn't get deported because there were so damn many of them being deported that day. I say just deport the men. Leave the Chicas and deport the men. And just leave the hot ones. We can always use more attractive mexican women.
Joking aside, we aught to just do what some AZ city (Can't remember the name, may have been the whole state, not sure) did: Fine a business $50,000 and suspend their business license for 30 days the first time they get caught with illegal employees, then blast them with a permanent suspension of their license the second time they get caught. When the jobs go, so will the illegals.
Also, as a bit of an aside question: Jbibza, why the hell are you even weighing in on this question? You may consider yourself an American, but I mean, c'mon, you aren't exactly living here anymore and it isn't exactly like any of this affects you. Not saying that that is a bad thing, but your examples and your information, while probably thought out and researched, aren't exactly relevant to the current situation. It's easy to advocate amnesty when you don't live in California or Texas or Arizona or the States themselves. If you got fed up with the BS of the USA and left, then you need to butt out of conversations dealing with the BS of the USA, because, well, you left. Love it or leave it, but if you leave it, don't criticize it, seeing as how it ain't your problem anymore.
some of us have been with insane women who want to do it ANYWHERE and IMMEDIATELY. It pays to be quiet in the back of crowded restaraunts, that's all I gotta say. I still can't go back there and it's been a few years. You just kinda learn to be quiet. At least, you learn to be quiet if you like going out to eat very much.
man, I never go out anymore. I just can't see the point of bars other than to go shoot pool, and it gets so crowded after a while that you can't even play. If I want to drink, I buy a sixpack and chill out at home.
