Actually yes. The intial stimulus package in 2008 (1 trillion dollars) when the credit markets were frozen... pumped money into the markets and prevented complete collapse. This was counter to republican philosophy, but Bush did it to prevent the collapse. The sign of a true leader. Obama on the other hand in 2009 signed his own trillion dollar stimulus bill into law to stimulate the economy or so he said. Actually it was a trillion dollar spending bill, with jobs created at a cost of $500,000 per job. US debt is now $114,000 per citizen.
Bush showed leadership, Obama acted like your typical politician. What the US as well as the world needs now are leaders not politicians.
