I think first you must define long distance.

Is it within the same country? or is it across an ocean?

I believe that it is more likely to succeed if you are both from the same country, or at least the same continent.

RE: Wood burners, here's some very good advice

Would everyone please explain to me why you would use wood instead of a more renewable fuel? I have a corn burner in my dining room that heats my whole house, they also make corn furnaces to attach to your duct work. They are more economical in most parts of the country and produces less gases, they are also alot safer than wood burners. I don't have a problem with wood burners for pleasure or to burn down wood on your property. I can buy 2 ton of corn for what you pay for one cord of wood, and that's half my season in ohio.

Here is a question for you all: The Hippocratic Oath says this "First do no harm" is human euthanisia really causing harm? Some say that it is selfish, others say it is murder. Have you ever had to sit and watch a loved one die for days knowing there was nothing you could do to end the suffering? I have and I swear I will never do that to my loved ones.

Why are we more compassionate about the care of our animals? When they are suffering, or dying of cancer we don't hesitate to euthanize them to put them out of their misery, and allow them to die with dignity.

There are states and countries that allow human euthanasia with restrictions and conditions that must be met in order for it to be legal. For example: you must be coherent, able minded, the family must be notified, 3 doctors must sign off etc. and the disease must be terminal with less than 6 mths of life expected.
