internet dating in a simple explanation.
not my work but i very much agree with this statement.INTERNET DATING SUMMED UP NICELY.
information overload. We know far more about someone, far faster, today than we ever have. What used to take weeks or months to learn about / get to know about someone now takes days. It's really no wonder or surprise to me that *most* online dates never make it to a 2nd date ...people generally know enough about the other person even before the 1st date to decide if they want a 2nd date - the 1st date is usually nothing more than a miraculous chemistry check.
The other thing I think has ruined dating and relationships is what I call option overload. Online dating have pretty much made the dating market a disposable commodities market ...with 'people' being the product. Why would I ever think about 'settling' for one 'product' when another newer, better 'product' might be on the market (or coming on the market) somewhere and I just haven't come across it yet?
also if your like me and are muscular, strong in mind and body (with a face like the b*stard child of quazzy modo and john merrick)you better get used to ur right hand as women these days like well groomed feminine guys. macho, dominant alpha male types might aswell climb a tower , scream "EZMERELDAAA!" and procede to bang theyr head of the bell until the concussion numbs them.
this may be why your profile is not getting views. also remember that 85%of human communication is non verbal.
an incredibly diverse and interesting person can completely fail to represent themselves well on a visual meat market like this or any dating site with only a few words and one poor photo.
