Interesting question. There are social factors you have to take into account before you could give a definitive answer. For example:-1. Spiritual or religious beliefs. I am a Christian so do not attend bars.
2. Age. The younger generation frequent bars more often than those getting on in age.
3. Marriage. You are coming from a young man's perspective where there are a lot more singles available. Someone my age and divorced and just finishing raising children to adulthood find there are less singles around statistically. All my friends are married and do not visit bars.
4. Gender. Men seem to frequent bars more than women in the older age group.
So just looking at these brief examples, I have two older sons in their early twenties and going to a bar is the social thing they all do. The girls are just as eager. At least there is a more personal involvement. There also seems to be a party on somewhere every week. I think tinder is the more common dating site for young ones.
There is the middle age group and then us 50 and over. Personally I am not into going to bars, actually I am to tired to go most places. Health issues are common to. So internet dating can be a little easier but not as personal. Hope this helps.
