I'm old fashioned and think the guy should make the first move, but you're a guy so go out there and be first to make a connection! Being open and honest, polite, with an interest in others is all you need, so just keep doing what you're doing!

Women just don't move
Its us guys that need to start.
In my case its just not that kind of woman I'm waiting for.
I look´for one that starts, with initiative.
Its too easy to sit and wait for us to start.
But if you want something done, do it yourself mate.
