Unknown and

Me and Mike first met when he came to Christchurch to meet my stepsister. I was with someone else at that time so we didn't really talk to each other much. I just remember him laughing his head off while watching TV, he had a huge sense of humour. Him and my stepsister ended up remaining friends, but never dating. A few months later I became single and decided to join Connecting Singles to find someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. The next day Mike saw me online (he had joined CS months before he met my stepsister) and started talking to me. We got on really well and one month later he decided to come to Christchurch (he lived in Auckland) for the weekend and stayed with me and my family. He asked me to be his girlfriend at the movies (we saw Law Abiding Citizen), I remember him being so nervous! The next month just before my 19th birthday, I flew to Auckland and we drove down to Christchurch as he'd decided to move there. He lived with me and my family and eventually got a job at a dairy farm in Dunsandel so moved out there. It didn't go well though and he got offered his old job back in Auckland which he enjoyed, so 6 months after moving to Christchurch we did the big drive back to Auckland. We had a long distance relationship from September 2010 to February 2011 which was very hard. The longest we went without seeing each other at all was 3 months! The good news is one weekend in November he flew down to Christchurch and took me to Akaroa for the night. He rented a cute as cottage which had a double spa bath, so I was running the water for us when he came in with two wine glasses (full of grape juice because I haven't acquired the taste for wine yet) and a ring. He put the glasses down and got down on one knee and said "Will you marry me?'!!! Of course I said yes! Needless to say, we had a bath together after that! We drove home to Christchurch the next day and told my family who were very excited. My dad and stepmum went out immediately to buy champagne and flowers for us and dad had a big speech about how wonderful Mike is and how we make a great couple. He actually had tears in his eyes! I moved up to Auckland in February and we are now living with Mikes dad while we save for our wedding and our own place. We have just started planning our wedding and hope it to be end of 2012 in an Auckland Vineyard, although my preferences will probably change as I look at venues. On March 19th 2011 it will be a whole year since we first saw that movie and Mike asked me to be his girlfriend, and now I'm his fiancee. He has planned something for us overnight but isn't giving me any hints at all! I might just have to get him a little something *wink wink*. So to anyone looking for the special someone online or somewhere else, he/she is out there! Just be patient! Love to you all and good luck in your search for "The One".
