I dreamed of living in China since I was a young boy of about 12. I read "The Good Earth" by Pearl Buck, and it changed me forever.
I finally got the chance to move to China in late 2001. I lived in Guangzhou for five years from 2001 to late 2006.
I returned home to visit my siblings, and to pay respects to my departed parents, who both died while I was living abroad. I then moved to Hawaii (Honolulu) where I have been the past seven years.
I speak good Mandarin, and a bit of Cantonese. I plan to return to China to live out my remaining 20-30 years and find a good Chinese woman to marry.
