Intelligent, artistic and naturally curious man who enjoys good conversation, good food (particularly desserts), good wine and a good laugh. One who has a wide range of interests from technology and medicine to law and doing genealogical research. I intended to do lots of artwork (pastels & calligraphy) after I retired, but instead I've been spending much of my time researching my ancestors. I like almost all animals except snakes. Musically I like golden oldies, some pop, some country, light classical,, but no rap or heavy metal. I'm not crazy about jazz or most opera either although I can tolerate both in small doses. I like dirty dancing-- that's where the man gets to hold the lady real close. To me most dancing today looks more like a bunch of worms squirming on a hot log. I used to fence (the sport kind), but it's too hard to keep up with 20 year old kids now. I still like to swim (I used to teach lifesaving and handicapped swimming for the Red Cross), fly fishing for trout, canoeing, but I lost my fellow paddler and fishing buddy so I haven't been doing either of those lately simply because it's not wise to do either alone. I can cook and was actually pretty good at it, but as I'm sure others on this site know all to well it's no fun to cook for one person.
