In short, the best description I can give is, I am curious, kind, intelligent, scared, frustrated, open-minded, and Lonely. While that may seem like a lot to picture right now, we all have those characteristics about certain aspects of our lives I will do my best to explain how these make me the person I am. If you have ever done any nursing or been a caregiver you will find me less than difficult to be around. I do have a left side deficit that makes it hard for me to do some things that people come to expect, as well it limits the activities I can do. One of those things I can't do is drive.
Some would call me high maintenance because I can't drive and don't make $40,000 a year, yet some say I have a higher calling. I know it doesn't sound like a worthwhile way to spend my time, but it is my time to spend. I found an apartment that is part of an assisted care facility and nursing home. I do what others find abhorrent and not worth their time, I befriend the sick (when I can) and the old, bringing them a taste of what it was like to be young. What I am missing is my own friend and companion, someone I can be close to, just like the stories I hear from the elderly I deal with every day. If you are wondering, people I deal with on a daily basis say I have the skills and all I need are the letters after my name to work with people on a professional level.
