The first rule on this dating site is to present ourselves to reflect decency and good taste. This my intention. I was brought up being told ''manners maketh man''. My short time in the RN taught me the same. At our age, there are few formative years left and it's life's experiences that count, I am 75 plus and whilst the years have gone by, the heart and mind have remained strong and active. I have settled back now to enjoy good sailing, classical opera, fine food with the correct quantity of wine all enjoyed in the company of other people that reflect decency and good taste,
Sensitivity is a very important quality. If I am very moved by any occurance, I might write a poem for my own reflection or just weep my eyes out. I can weep seeing a youngster winning young musician of the year or write a poem if a particular genre of art carries me to heights of pleasure. Although I am actually shy, one would never think so if we met. I have found it easier to meet and mingle as I have grown older. I still hate pretension and crowds of people. I have learned a lot, travelling, meeting many different people in very diverse cultures. I retired at 70 and since then have done my share of voluntary work.
Today, I am restless. I need a new adventure. Most of all I am emotionally alone and would enjoy corresponding with like minded women.
