More About Me
I know real love and joy. I've experienced both. However, I've known heartaches and tragedy. In the last seven year's alone I've been twice widowed. My last two wifes/lovers I lost to cancer. My special needs, 30 year old daughter was hit and killed crossing a busy parkway. My mother passed away. Can I love again? Well I'll always have a portion of my heart reserved for them. However, our gracious Lord has given me a huge heart with an enormous amount of love yet to give another IF He brings me one.
But through it all I've learned that God really is ALL sufficient to meet ALL my needs! As the apostle Paul stated in Philippians chapter 4, HE gives us a peace that truly surpasses our human understanding. I've five biological adult children, six adult step children and fourteen grandchildren. Despite all this I'm a happy, funny, optimistic, easy going man. My dear mother instilled in all of us to "magnify the good in people and situations. It's so easy to choose the bad but requires work to magnify the good"... a challenge at times yet it pays the greatest rewards. If God so wills it to bring me another gem, thats wonderful, but I'm happy and content without a woman. However, I'd prefer to share my remaining days loving someone very very special... Giving without expecting. Not keeping a record of wrongs or who does more. Each gives 100% but of course they're times it's a 60/40 proposition and that happens but neither keeps score.
I do love travel, outdoors, the beach in particular. Anything near, on or in water. I occasionally fish, love hiking, long walks, ride snow machines, atv's, love live theater concerts and plays, movies, music, singing, museums and on occasions, a motorcycle. I love boats, RV's and passionate for cars.
Since my daughter was killed, I've been enjoying a fine cigar from time to time but I DO NOT SMOKE CIGARETTES and never around others. I'm impeccable about good grooming and hygiene.

FYI for any princess that's not been around a tall big man...I'm a teddy bear and strong as a real bear. I can still bench press more than my body weight and I've never worked out with weights. My BP is 115/65. Resting heart rate 47. Cholesterol etc perfect. I can swim and body surf all day. People tell me I look more like early to mid 50's...I am 65. My late wife and I traveled her last several months and we ate and ate without looking back because I desired the best quality remaining time for her...so yes now I'm slowly shedding weight but I'll never be a rail. Heck... I was 38 lbs 4 oz at birth!!!
What in part do I seek in a woman? My best friend. Someone who doesn't need a man to complete her. She's accomplished, well educated, intelligence beyond mine, a giver not a taker. Beautiful heart, mind and soul. A woman who knows the Lord and has a close daily relationship with Him and doesn't talk the talk but walks the walk. A servant's heart. Honesty, integrity, morals and ethics as her core. A cheer leader. Encourager. Fully engaged in life... not a spectator. A sense of adventure. Loves to laugh... especially at my sense of humor.
