Well, stubborn seems to come to mind often....especially to the mind of those around me. :) Let's just say I have clarity of purpose..... But every coin has another side, and that for me is consistency and dependability. I’m an introvert. I’m completely at ease with that. I understand I live among a majority of extroverts and a society designed around extrovert assumptions. I can be openly social and perhaps talk your head off if I know you and trust you, but I need to go recharge by myself on a regular basis, and do have a need for quiet time. That can be while we’re together, but I just need to not always be talking. “You’re quiet. What’s wrong?” is not the right question. One important thing is I have fewer friends, but they are much more intense friendships. Put me in a room or a car on a road trip with a friend, and I’ll go hoarse before I shut up. How that applies to dating is the conversation will be stilted at first until we find common ground, at which point I will try to remember not to talk over you, but nor will I be offended if you cut me off. I won’t usually talk about me, but usually about ideas and some of my experiences I just happen to have been involved in that has me intellectually exited. I love a good discussion, debate, or supported argument. I don’t care about winning or loosing: I just love learning and new ideas.
I love to read, and when I have the time, I will read voraciously. I like to cook anything from quick sustaining meals to comfort food to a more challenging dish. I like to watch movies and go see a play. It’s just a more visual alternative to reading a book. And then I’ll want to discuss it for hours and explore alternatives of plot and character. I like to be outside, except when it’s hot, and especially when it’s cold or stormy.
