More About Me
I was born with scoliosis and I have severe spinal stenosis which limits my mobility. I must walk with a cane or trekking poles and cannot go far. I have an autoimmune disease which causes a lot of inflammation (psoriatic arthritis), and fibromyalgia, so I am in constant pain. Our corrupt system is happy to supply dangerous pain medications instead of the cannabis which is beneficial and harmless. I used to grow it but it became too difficult with my health issues. I can no longer lift or bend or else I am in agony for months afterward. I am hoping to at least be able to pick raspberries in the summer. The strawberry plants were moved into large planters but might still be too low for me. Time will tell.
I still make everything home made. The only things I buy in cans are foods one cannot get another way, like coconut milk or canned milk for baking. I just made sourdough crackers. Yum! Soon my starter will be active enough to make the English muffins which are so delicious!
I share my home with my youngest son, who came back home a year ago, after a dozen years in the city. He is working at restoring my neglected, overgrown gardens. He and his siblings learned to cook and bake from their mean old mom, so it is handy when I am not up to it.
