Wow, writing about yourself makes you feel like a bit of a d*ck, doesn't it!

Ok, let's jump right in and start this in the same way that most of my days start: in the pub. Erm, I mean in work. Oh well, there goes the all-important first impression!

So, I have a fairly demanding and high-pressure job, but it's something I've worked very hard to attain and is something I'm proud of. It's taken me to a few amazing (and a few rubbish) places around the world, which is something I'm pretty grateful for. Am currently working in Doha, in fact. And in the last few years I've worked in Abu Dhabi, Dubai (both beautiful), Saudi Arabia (not beautiful at all) and Dublin (not very exotic, but bloody expensive!) So, if you enjoy travelling, I can provide you with the perfect excuse to do more of it!

I'm a very open-minded guy. Prepared to try anything at least once - I think. Love pretty much any food (you'll never meet a man who better fits the proverb "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" - unless you try to put tomatoes in that stomach.) Love pretty much any music - particularly if it's live. Love pretty much any sport (though I seem to watch it more than I play it lately).

I think of myself as being often beardy, but always stubbly. Slightly less important things to know about me are: I'm pretty confident, very affectionate, I'm a door-opener (i.e literally, on dates. Metaphorically; not-so-much), funny (at times - personal profiles notwithstanding), very laid back, loyal and I clearly overuse brackets. Oh, one more thing; I am a very honest guy, but - if it's your preference - I am prepared to lie about how we met!

So, I feel like I recovered quite well after a spectacularly poor start, but I'll let you be the judge of that...
