I 'm a recent widower after 40 years of marriage. I loved being married. From my personal experience, it is how I was meant to be. I retired early at age 49. I have four wonderful daughters two living in L.A., one in seattle and the baby at at uw la crosse. I love being with children. At family get togethers, I'm the uncle that brings a half dozen baseball gloves, balls, frisbees , and is outside playing with the kids while the adults sit inside talking. (I can't sit still) If you have younger children great. I enjoy working out every day, I paint (abstract), collect art, garden, mountain climb, avid bicyclist, and have been teaching myself classical guitar. The old fingers are definitely not 18 years old any more. ahh such is life. When I'm enamored with a women I don't care what we're doing as long as we are together, grocery shopping, cooking, laundry. A bump on the hips and if I'm lucky the laundry never gets done.
