I spent a good deal of my childhood in Germany. One day we really wanted some American fast food so we drove like three hours to the nearest KFC just to have a little taste of home. We didn't have any American tv stations that came in, so we listened to the armed forces radio station, which played 40's big band music and radio programs that were dramatized.
