Think about what qualities sets you apart from other people. What characterizes you and only you. Try to think about what makes you, you, and what do you consider as most important to your personality. For college, you want to strive for qualities that will show them that you can make it in college, and convince them with an example. When describing myself in college essays, I would choose 3 or 4 best qualities about myself and develop those qualities with real examples from my experience. For example, if I said I have perseverance, I would talk about an incident(s) in my life in which I had to overcome an obstacle and how I did not give up. This is just an example, so think of what makes yourself a good candidate for the college you're applying to. 50 words is very short, so you have to edit and reedit your answer many times before you have something in which the sentences are succinct, yet include the best things about you. It will take some time until you have an answer with which you're satisfied and at that point, it may be helpful to take a break and come back to it maybe 3 or 4 days later. This will allow you to look at your answer with a fresh mind, and make the answer even better. Also, it might be helpful to research that college, and see what the college looks for in their students. For example, my college looks for service-minded individuals, or someone who's passionate about extracurricular activities...,etc. Each college is different and has their own values. So just research, think and write! :)
