I am in an amicable divorce from my mate of 17 years. I loved being married and think that living with a woman who is also my best friend is the natural state of things. So, I will be gravitating towards a solid long term relationship. I was 100% faithful to my mate and was as interested and turned on to her from the first months we were together to the following almost two decades. I have a serious side and a sense of humor. I try to see the positive in situations and tend towards optimism. Childlike curiousity isn't just for kids. I studied Mathematical Economics and International Finance at University of California at Santa Barbara, traded at various exchanges, lived in Manhattan, the US Virgin Islands, Laguna Beach and lately Prescott, Arizona, in the mountains. The one thing that is a strong constant in my psyche is the ocean and being near it, in it or looking at it is a deep passion. So, now that I am in the position of starting a new chapter of life, I am considering relocating to the island of Hawaii. But the choice is open as I can do my work wherever there is electricity and the internet. I lived in my home on the beach in the Caribbean for five years and know that I love the lifestyle that it provides. What was a dream,became my reality and from that experience, I got to see what was really involved in such a lifestyle choice. So I would like to return; to work and live in a paradise, scuba, sail, wander the beaches, live an active and outdoorsy life, drive my sportscar among the amazing scenery, top down and taking in the tropical sensations. Another priority is also hopefully connecting with new friends and neighbors to forge new friendships within the local communities.

It is easier to describe myself than to put in words what I am looking for in a mate. It may be that there is alot of intangible that defies description or analyzing. I am left brain and right brain and rely on feelings as much as thought to sum things up. My wife was 17 years younger than me and the combination of putting the youthfulness and experience together seemed a pleasing recipe.
