More About Me
I love my job. I love most of the people I interact with regularly, and I think I'm lucky to have what I have in my life. Even the bad has been spaced out enough that I think it's been a help. But... I really would like to find someone to share more parts of myself with, because a lot of what I have just doesn't have anywhere to go. As I've gotten older, I've realized more and more that growing is not really about becoming stronger, better, but more about being able to help other people do well, and be who they are. And... I don't want to overreach here or get too sentimental, but I really want to be that for someone. Enough sentimentalism! Here are some things I'm good at(and I hate to toot my own horn, but this seems the place to do that): karaoke and tetris. The first is my passion, and the second is my obsession... Or a nagging, unhealthy addiction- it could go either way. Nah, I'm kidding. I have a healthy relationship with it....Anyway, I love singing. I've performed here and there in formal settings, but these days, I guess a situation where one doesn't have to memorize any lyrics, and only has to sing one song before going back to cocktails and friends, just has more appeal for me(though I occasionally can't resist the urge to audition for something or other). I'm a year round bicycle rider. My bike is my car, which just has so many benefits, that even though a lot of people wouldn't say it's a fully fledged adult kind of thing, I still think it makes more sense.
I'm trying to read a lot of books. I like history especially. My favorite history deals with the obscure- people in the middle of well known events did cool stuff nobody knows about... Or countries nobody cares about where cool stuff happened. I guess there's a character limit though. But, writing more would be vain anyway...

I don't care if there are a lot of differences in our interests necessarily, because it can be nice to try different things and learn something new. There might be some limitations(I'm sorry, but I could never become a serious sports fan... ), but don't think there's anything wrong with expanding horizons.
