More About Me
When I was 21, I drove a Land Rover from London to Kathmandu, which launched my lifelong passion for travelling, which is why I'm here in Klaipeda. I'm a permanent resident of Lithuania and, sadly, have failed to speak Lietuviski since living here for several years. I'm English and work as a Celta-qualified English language and literature teacher. I teach students individually, online, and in person. I left the UK over 20 years ago and have travelled and lived in several countries around the world. I live alone near the old town, and much of my time is spent writing. I'm currently working on a novel about overland travel. When I lived in Richmond, London, I worked as a professional actor in theatre, TV, and radio and played minor rôles in some major movies. Theatre is my love, and Shakespeare is my passion. I used to teach Shakespeare, in English, at Klaipeda University. I'm fortunate in having some good friends living here. They all speak good English, which makes it even harder for me to learn. So, I'm gregarious and enjoy meeting new people who might become close friends.
