I have lived very happily alone for 3 years and perfecty content to continue doing so.
The happiest people are those who are able to organize their lives so that they can do what they want to do. Is that selfishness ?. I hope not. Perhaps I take life too seriously ? Rather solitary ?
I do not feel my age. I am still working; retirement has no meaning for me. I am always active, never enough time to do everthing I want to do. I get satisfaction from being of use to others in any way I can.
My great passion in life is classical music; I go to numerous concerts and am active in helping organize concerts of music. I have many other interests - European economic and social history, local history, theatre, cinema etc. Left of centre political views. Interested in languages, but not very good at them. I speak and write English and French, speak very bad Dutch.
I have no time for long holidays, short breaks as often as possible. Rather than do so many things on my own why not share them with a like-minded person ?
