Gaining knowledge is very imported to me, knowing how the world works and the history of humanity are my hobby's.
There are three stages to this that I have experienced so far.
Stage one is indifference knowing very little accepting the world as is and not knowing about all the suffering in it.
Stage two is depressions in realizing how unfair the world can be, this is the longest stage and most people can become stuck in this stage and just hate the world in general. It is important to begin some sort of economic study at that point and of history some very wise men have come before and can help you deal with this.
Stage three acceptance that the world is generally in a good state and the vast majority of the population has a better standard of living than the previous generation and that the next generation will have it even better.
