More About Me
Having been widowed in July 2011 after 41 years of marriage to a real English "gentle man", I have begun enjoying life again with my friends here in Brussels and my family in Kent, London & Harrogate. My friends would describe me, I think, as being very reliable, honest, I.e. quite outspoken and sometimes not very diplomatic, but never hurting anyone's feelings. I don't try to convince other people of my convictions. I prefer the motto "live and let live". Since I retired in 2004 after many years working as a civil servant in Brussels I have joined various charity organisations like "Femmes d'Europe" and "The British Legion".. Over the years I have developed an interest in mid 20th Century Design and vintage jewellery. I love going to antiques fairs, brocantes etc.
My gorgeous little redheaded (and temper to go with it) granddaughter Isabella makes me smile the most. I visit my daughter and her family near Tenterden quite frequently and I babysit at the drop of a hat, taking the Eurostar to Ashford !
