Fantasy world full of wonders
Four years after the " Dark Passion Play " beat NIGHTWISH on a new chapter that will revolutionize everything that has gone before . On " Imaginaerum " they are able to design a brilliant sound - complex construct that style on her platinum album " Dark Passion Play " but equally integrates innovative elements as previously not found their way into the music. Thus, not only a lavishly orchestrated soundtrack feeling runs through the brilliant pieces , the gloomy scenarios from Tim Burton 's " Corp Bride " can often appear before the mind's eye . On the consistently virtuoso excursion , NIGHTWISH proffer trip to the Celtic mythology and connect melancholy wistful moments ( 'Turn Loose The Mermaids ') , with bluesy vaudeville charm - nonchalant and highly erotic breathed Anette ' Slow , Love , Slow ' . Nevertheless, the focus continues to be placed on the epic bombastic numbers that come up with brute force and deeply intense cascades of sound , as already impressive , the first single ' Storytime ' proof , if mystical opulent choirs unite with the intoxicating orchestra. Fast, lashing riffs expect the listener on ' I Want My Tears Back' , in which Anette's crystal clear vocals beautifully expressed and harmoniously blends with Marcos concise voice. The other hand, seems melodramatic convinced the mysterious ' Scaretale ' , which is introduced by morbid children whispering, loses itself in a children's canon and with opulent violence pushes forward while the instrumental ' Arabesque ' kidnapped in Oriental climes and sparked the Palace of Winds . ' Last Ride Of The Day' rounds again all trademarks of NIGHTWISH and shows itself in boundless , epic symphonic bandwidth with seductive intensity. The highlight should be the truly overwhelming mammoth number 'Song Of Myself ' , which is divided into four chapters and was constructed so complex that a missing word . Paper is dead without words , it says at one point and NIGHTWISH prove that they are, the majestic and complex than ever , breathe into this genre life!
