The Overmiles project
November 1987 was fundamental in our musical life: we had the honour of opening Miles Davis' concerts at PalaSharp (ex PalaTrussardi) in Milan and at PalaLottomatica (EX-PalaEur) in Rome.
Since Miles Davis with his musical concept, blending the culture and colours of Jazz and Funk , which we so loved, had completely captured us, his music began to run in our veins.
Inside our musical subconsciousness his notes would continue to echo, forever standing the test of time: their currency is reconfirmed each day in the evolution of contemporary music. Miles' music was a real "Big Bang".
We now feel that our own tribute to the genius of Miles Davis is long overdue. The concept of our band is inspired by his sound, from the 80s until today - by the way he played then and the way he could have played today.
